We can almost feel the brushstrokes on canvas in Judith Weir’s Heroic Strokes of the Bow – a work inspired by painting. The soloist in Schumann’s intimate, melodic cello concerto is Jaemin Han, the youngest ever winner of the George Enescu competition. The concert ends with Mozart’s fresh, tuneful symphony no. 39.
