We are also delighted to welcome two guests from Estonia: star pianist Johan Randvere\, one of his country’s most interesting international young musicians\, and Peeter Vähi\, the composer of inspiringly exotic and meditative music. The concert is a fascinating survey of the rich tapestry of Estonian music of the 20th and 21st centuries. It also presents some leading Estonian composers who have made a lasting mark both in their homeland and on the international scene – such as Arvo Pärt\, who recently turned 90\, Erkki-Sven Tüür\, Heino Eller and Lepo Sumera – and represents a magnificent meeting of the diverse skills of Estonian and Finnish musicians. \nIn partnership with the City of Kotka
