There will be two particular “earworms” – the Air from the third orchestral suite by Bach undoubtedly familiar to all, and the widely-borrowed Canon and Gigue by Pachelbel. Purcell’s Fantasia in Three Parts upon a Ground is a virtuosic piece and culminates this dazzling display of Baroque performance.
