There will be two particular “earworms” – the Air from the third orchestral suite by Bach undoubtedly familiar to all\, and the widely-borrowed Canon and Gigue by Pachelbel. DESCRIPTION:Conductor: Kerem Hasan\nSoloist: Jaemin Han\, cello \nJudith Weir: Heroic Strokes of the Bow\nRobert Schumann: Cello Concerto in A\, op. 129\nWolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Symphony no. 39 in E flat\, KV 543 \nClassicism\, romanticism and the present day come together in this concert rich in colours and moods conducted by Britain’s Kerem Hasan. We can almost feel the brushstrokes on canvas in Judith Weir’s Heroic Strokes of the Bow – a work inspired by painting. The soloist in Schumann’s intimate\, melodic cello concerto is Jaemin Han\, the youngest ever winner of the George Enescu competition. The concert ends with Mozart’s fresh\, tuneful symphony no. 39.

The soloists are two young singers well on the way to fame: Polish soprano Magdalena Lucjan\, who recently won the international NEUE STIMMEN singing competition\, and Slovenian tenor Žiga Čopi. The concert has been curated by our Artistic Partner Topi Lehtipuu\, who will also present it\, with texts both by him and Anu Arasu (UK).

SUMMARY:THE MAGIC OF MOZART
DESCRIPTION:Conductor and presenter: Topi Lehtipuu\nSoloists: Magdalena Lucjan\, soprano\nŽiga Čopi\, tenor\nArias by Mozart \nWhy do the music and arias of Mozart continue to speak to us over 200 years since they were composed? This concert will try to answer that question with examples of some of his most moving operatic arias covering the emotional spectrum from A to Z. The soloists are two young singers well on the way to fame: Polish soprano Magdalena Lucjan\, who recently won the international NEUE STIMMEN singing competition\, and Slovenian tenor Žiga Čopi. The concert has been curated by our Artistic Partner Topi Lehtipuu\, who will also present it\, with texts both by him and Anu Arasu (UK).

This concert\, already held in numerous day nurseries\, now for the first time features all the orchestra’s wind players. It is designed for tiny tots\, who can feel free to run around and sing along.
