MAY DAY REVELS

The Kymi Sinfonietta’s May Day concerts herald the advent of spring with a programme of cheerful music in the company of top artists. Setting the tone of this light-hearted concert will be rising-star conductor Sauli Saarinen, Marika Hölttä (coloratura soprano) and Aarne Pelkonen (baritone) in a cavalcade of rousing entertainment, light classics and speak-to-the-heart evergreens, plus tunes from the silver screen and musicals. Marika Hölttä is famous for her versatility and stage charisma; Aarne Pelkonen as the winner of the 2013 Lappeenranta Singing Competition and the 2015 International Sibelius Singing Competition.
