How does the music of tomorrow\u2019s composers sound? Come and find out at the finals concerts of a competition for young composers that has this year attracted more entries than ever before. Since the prizes are awarded on the basis of not only the scores but also their live performance, the tension will be electric right up to the very end! The finals concerts will be conducted by Atso Almila, who is also a composer and a member of the Jury, and members of the Kymi Sinfonietta will also form smaller chamber ensembles. In the words of Almila, the competition is a unique opportunity for composers of the rising generation to express themselves in an exceptionally fine way. It is also a chance for our Kymi Sinfonietta players to demonstrate their diverse skills in a competition broadcast by the Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle).<\/p>\n
