Bach composed his Cantata BWV 105 in 1723, for the ninth Sunday after Trinity. Beethoven\u2019s masterly choral cantata <em>Meeresstille und gl\u00fcckliche Fahrt<\/em> is based on two poems by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Crowning the concert is Mozart\u2019s <em>Requiem<\/em>, a work that never fails to affect the listener and with which he was feverishly battling shortly before his death.
