Inspired by oriental musical influences, Sibelius\u2019s <em>Belshazzar\u2019s Feast<\/em> shimmers with fascinating orchestral colours and winding melodies. Einojuhani Rautavaara\u2019s <em>Autumn <\/em><em>Gardens<\/em>, meanwhile, transports listeners into an English garden. In the composer\u2019s own words: \u201cAutumn is also the season of foliage, frost and death. Thus, at the end, the music becomes a solemn dance, con grandezza. Perhaps one hears a sarabande for the dying bloom of summer \u2013 or, in the words of T.S.
