Curated by Iselin himself, this vibrant concert brings the rich musical heritage of the Baltic Sea region to life through dance rhythms, bird-inspired imagery and the mystique of northern nature. A connecting theme of life by the Baltic Sea runs through the programme, while Mendelssohn\u2019s youthful <em>First Symphony<\/em> adds an extra burst of energy to the evening. Danish composer Carl Nielsen wrote his <em>Flute Concerto<\/em> a century ago, and audiences in the Kymenlaakso region now have a rare opportunity to hear this lyrical and richly coloured work performed live.
