Stevan Sretenović started playing violin at the age of six in his hometown of Belgrade, Serbia. He has obtained Master degrees from Faculty of Music in Belgrade, with Ljubomir Mihailović as well as Music Conservatory in Kristiansand, Norway with Bård Monsen. Additionally, he has further his education at the masterclasses with Pierre Amoyal, Igor Ozim, Gordan Nikolić, Henning Kraggerud, Stefan Milenković, Ilya Korol and others. Throughout his studies, he has won over 30 awards as a soloist and chamber musician, nationally and internationally. He has performed as a soloist in violin concertos by Vivaldi, Bach and Mozart. During his career, he has performed at numerous festivals in Norway and Serbia (BEMUS, Belgrade Summer Festival, KoMa, Stavanger Chamber Music Festival, Bergen
Festspillene and others). As a chamber musician, he has perfomed in Norway, Italy, Serbia, Slovenia, Netherlands etc. Since 2009, Stevan has extensively performed with orchestras in Norway, Netherlands and Serbia (KSO, SSO, NNO, BGF, St George Strings Chamber Orchestra and others) and in 2019 has moved to Finland to join Kymi Sinfonietta.
