Continuing in his role as Kymi Sinfonietta’s artistic partner, Jukka Perko joins forces with his friend, singer-songwriter Mikko Kuustonen, to bring Kuustonen’s remarkable body of work to our audiences. At the same time, Kuustonen fulfils a long-held dream of performing as a soloist with a larger orchestral ensemble. This unique evening will feature both familiar songs and new material. The longtime friends aim to create a spontaneous and unforgettable shared experience. The collaboration is also a tribute to Kuustonen’s diverse artistic journey as well as a bold step towards something new. “Fifty years have passed since I wrote my first song, and I still experience the creation of every song as a miracle. When writing, I am alone, but on stage I become part of a magnificent collective and a flow that brings the songs to life.”
