Artistic partner Nathanaël Iselin brings touches of the French Christmas music tradition, which is especially close to his heart, into the Finnish Christmas concert tradition. The evening’s programme combines international and Finnish classics that guide audiences towards the peace and joy of Christmas. Charpentier’s radiant Noël pour les instruments opens the concert in festive Baroque splendour. Deeply beloved Finnish Christmas songs bring nostalgic seasonal atmosphere to the stage, performed by the charismatic baritone Waltteri Torikka. The concert concludes with Bizet’s brilliantly energetic Prélude and lively Farandole. At the end of the evening, the audience is invited to join in singing together, ensuring that everyone leaves with a true Christmas spirit.
