The soloists in this concert conducted by Esa Heikkilä are brilliant youngsters from the local music colleges. The experience of playing with an orchestra, of working with a conductor, and of the audience’s encouragement is rewarding to say the least and has far-reaching consequences. The soloists are chosen by audition, and the orchestra wants in this way to boost them in their careers.
