Under the baton of Sauli Saarinen, the evening moves from elegant Viennese waltzes and lively polkas to Finnish classics and the pulsing rhythm of Argentine tango. The 2017 Tango Queen Aino Niemi brings nostalgic Finnish evergreens to life with her expressive singing. During the orchestra’s well-earned breaks, accordionists Kalle Kurvinen and Mika Huusari with their band keep the audience dancing.
