The Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra visits Kotka with Chief Conductor Nicholas Collon and guitarist Ismo Eskelinen as part of the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle’s 100th anniversary year programme. Reaching audiences across Finland each week through Yle’s channels, the FRSO performs three works: Ravel’s enchanting Mother Goose, Jukka Tiensuu’s fascinating Aim for Guitar and Orchestra, and Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony, one of the cornerstones of classical music and a landmark that opened the door to the Romantic era.
